DMCA & Content Removal Policy

We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and to reports of imagery depicting a real, identifiable person. Both routes are open to anyone; neither requires an account.

What a notice must contain
A physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; identification of the material claimed to be infringing and enough detail for us to locate it (a direct URL is best); your address, telephone number, and email; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
Incomplete notices are not actionable. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing carries liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Counter-notification
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notification containing your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the United States, any district in which we may be found).
Non-consensual and real-person imagery
Separately from copyright, we remove content that depicts a real, identifiable person without their consent. The Service is designed to make this content impossible to produce: the character-upload path rejects real, identifiable people at a face and consent check, and every generation is screened. If you believe an image depicts you or someone you represent, report it and it is triaged ahead of the ordinary queue.
Reports concerning a minor or an apparent minor are escalated immediately, the material is preserved as evidence, and we report to the authorities where the law requires it.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that repeatedly attract valid infringement notices are terminated. We keep a record of notices received and the action taken.
